About Tessa
I am a graduate of Louisiana State University, I majored in Psychology with a minor in English Language Arts. In high school, I took AP English as well as College Composition. I've always had a better understanding of English and History as opposed to other subjects, I also understand that each individual learns at their own pace and in their own way. Unlike many other tutors, I am able to break material down in ways most people wouldn't have thought of.

I base my methods of teaching on the understanding of the student. A typical lesson plan starts where the student is in school, that way they aren't learning ahead or behind in the class but rather with the class. As a tutor, I believe you can only learn if the material is being given to you at a rate that you can handle, if the material is being given to you faster than you can complete you are more likely to rush through and miss key parts of the assignment. My lessons are aimed to help middle through high school students.
