About Jesse
I have a BA in English from Biola University. I graduated in 2017 with high honors from Biola, national honors from Phi Eta Sigma, and international honors from Sigma Tau Delta. I am CRLA-certified, as well as a published poet and international convention speaker. I have been tutoring since 2012. I have tutored mostly undergraduate and graduate scholars in both New Jersey and Southern California, but am also comfortable tutoring younger students, as well as ESL and intellectually challenged students.

My teaching method focuses around my students. I base lessons on the Socratic method and approach each topic with patience. I want my students to learn from themselves, not simply from what I say. To help ensure this, I often incorporate verbal, visual, and tactical learning. Many students and their teachers have thanked me, saying how grades have improved. Ultimately, I hope to make learning enjoyable and positive.
