About Ellie
Since I was sixteen, I have worked with the general public in healthcare and education, ranging from ages 4-100. Every job I have undertaken has stemmed from a desire to help others and influence their outlook on each day! Upon starting my degree, I knew that I wanted to teach, I have opted for modules which will allow me to do so in working towards the completion of my degree. I had a rocky start to the education system as a child and could barely spell when I attended secondary school however, one English teacher changed my perspective on the subject as well as my education as a whole. Without him, I would not have the skills nor the confidence to be where I am today. I want to be to somebody else what he was to me.

• I believe that the key to teaching is interest. Whether that interest (in this subject) is Percy Jackson or Jane Eyre. No matter the text, all skills are applicable to any text studied at any level. • Session lengths are typically 2 hours but can be negotiated to fit personal needs. • I have experience volunteering in a local school over an extended period which has helped me to determine the best ways to enlighten different age groups of children though these lessons are advertised for secondary pupils only. The first trial session will include a questionnaire of basic information surrounding the student, their strengths, weaknesses etc which will allow me to design a personally tailored tutoring programme.
