I’ve always had a passion for English, and I know how challenging the transition from GCSE to A Level can feel. Developing a strong writing style and refining exam technique takes time and practice, and I’d love to help students build confidence in these areas.

Hi, I’m Poppy. I’ve loved English, especially creative writing, since primary school. At IGCSE, I studied both English Literature and English Language, achieving a grade 9 in both. I went on to study English Literature at A Level, where I achieved an A. I’m now in my third year at the University of Bristol, studying Marketing with Law. The strong writing, analysis, and communication skills I developed through English continue to play a key role in my academic success. Because I’ve recently been through both GCSE and A Level English, I’m very familiar with the content, exam structure, and the skills needed to achieve top grades. I’d be happy to support students of any age or ability, whether they’re looking to build confidence, improve exam technique, or simply develop a deeper love for English.
