Having a strong vocabulary can make reading so exciting! Once you stop struggling and begin to learn how to use words and really understand them you can do almost anything!!! It really can be fun.
I begun my classes by getting to know my student(s) to get a feel for what the enjoy and how Ed’s. We
ELA has been taught to them I. The past. I like to launch with a great story that contains vocabulary I believe they should know and do some challenging games for fun. Then I could perhaps take any words that were challenging and explain them further. Then we can see how they fit in the story. Later
We can have fun with their new words. Maybe have them write a short story so I can evaluate where they may be challenged.
