About Sanjoe
Hi, I’m Sanjoe. I am a doctoral research scholar in English and Cultural Studies, but more than that, I am someone who genuinely cares about how stories shape the way we think, speak, and see the world.
Over the years, my work has taken me from academic seminar halls to grassroots educational communities and contemporary art biennales. Through all of it, one thing became abundantly clear to me: real learning happens only when students are given the space to question, explore, and find their own voice. Too often, literature is treated as an exercise in memorizing summaries to pass a test. I teach because I want to change that experience for you.
I want to share my knowledge not to hand you pre-packaged answers, but to give you the critical tools to think independently. When you read a text with me, we look at the culture, the underlying conflicts, and the human motives behind the craft. My goal is to help you build genuine confidence in your analytical thinking, sharpen your expression, and discover that literature is one of the most exciting, liberating ways to understand the world around you.

I have sat in far too many classrooms where brilliant stories were dragged down by dull, line-by-line paraphrasing and rote memorisation. That is never how I teach. In our sessions, we look past surface summaries to understand what the author genuinely intended to say. We explore the writer's world, their unspoken motives, and the critical theories shaping the narrative. When we work together, literature stops being an assignment you endure to pass an exam. It becomes an exciting conversation where you learn to think for yourself, decode hidden meanings, and express original ideas with absolute confidence.
