About Taylah
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly structured: I combine research-based methods from phonology and second language acquisition with practical, real-world activities so you always know exactly what to practice and why. Students appreciate that I listen carefully to their goals, explain concepts clearly, and create a safe space where they can make mistakes, ask questions, and build confidence step by step.

In my lessons, you will speak from the very first class. I start with short listening activities, guide you through clear comprehension exercises, and then move into focused speaking drills and real conversations so you can use what you learn immediately. As a university ESL professor (Georgia Tech) with a Master’s in Applied Linguistics who is proficient in Spanish and Portuguese, I specialize in helping adult learners—especially professionals—improve pronunciation, fluency, and confidence in real-life situations. Every lesson is personalized to your goals, whether you need English for work, travel, or study, and I give specific feedback on your grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation so you always know what to practice between classes. If you are ready to sound clearer, feel more confident, and finally enjoy speaking English, book a lesson with me and let’s start today.
