About Isla
My name is Isla! I'm a recent graduate from the University of York, where I studied English and Related Literature. I've been deeply passionate about reading and writing ever since I was a child, and I believe it to be something that everyone should be able to access and enjoy. There's nothing I would love more than to be able to help other people enjoy English as much as I do. I understand that school can make the subject seem difficult, tedious, or even inaccessible to many, and if you feel that way, I would love to work with you to help make English Literature and Language, as well as reading and writing creatively, something fun and something you can do.

Relaxed, low-stakes tutoring, willing to be specific and cater directly to how you learn best. Happy to provide gentle feedback and motivation, or meet you at the level of feedback you're happy with. Typical lesson length can be between 30 minutes to 2 hours, I'm flexible with whatever times work with your schedule. Experience with tutoring my younger sibling and younger students in secondary school with creative writing and essays. Lessons can range from younger children needing help with reading to 18-year-olds (5 - 18).
