About Louis
Hello! I'm Louis, an Oxford graduate and life-long lover of English. I am an experienced tutor and a successful student, with an A* at GCSE, a D1 at Pre-U and a high 2:1 from Oxford. I can tutor English at all levels from Common Entrance to an Oxford application.
Many students find literature studies to be a challenge, but my teaching method focuses on a methodical approach that makes close reading and comparative analysis not just simple, but enjoyable! I hope to inspire confidence in my students as well as the same passion for the subject that has motivated me throughout my academic career.
My particular areas of expertise are Shakespeare, Joyce, and modern poetry, but I am proficient in all periods and modes of literature that you may be examined on. I look forward to starting our journey through English together!

I achieved an A* at GCSE, a D1 at Pre-U and was awarded an academic scholarship in English at Jesus College, Oxford.
I'm available for both in-person and online sessions in the greater London area. Lessons are typically an hour, where we'll focus on the best approach to your examination and hone the core skills examiners are looking for.
