About Hetvi
Masters in English Literature and currently also teaching Hindi basics
During the course of my masters as well as being part of a 'women's university', I was introduced to various lenses of viewing the society, culture and especially the gender narrative. Being a member of the literary discourse of the Indian society, it is disheartening to realize how commercialized, homogenized and linear the narratives are today. There is a clear absence of celebration and awareness of the heterogeneous nature of India’s culture which is vivid and widely varied. The voices of margins are absent from the canonical narratives and end up still existing on the periphery.
Thus, I carry an extremely unique vision of the subject.

Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening are the top four skills required to learn any language. I prefer conducting interactive classes which promote confidence in spoken aspect of the language too and help imagine and organize the ideas of the students rather than traditional teaching methods along with weekly evaluation.
