About May
I love reading and books! In my degree I have specialised in films and my favourite authors including Virginia Woolf, Iris Murdoch and Shakespeare! But at Oxford we cover all time periods so I have a good knowledge of a huge range of literature:) Just let me know what your school wants you to focus on and I can let you know if this is something I have a good knowledge of. I am happy to read through different exam boards if I'm not experienced in it.
I had a tutor at A level so have had the experience from your side and understand what works from a student perspective. Hopefully it can be fun as well as helpful - I have two younger siblings and have been a camp leader at summer schools so have lots of ways to teach in more enjoyable ways than school!
In my spare time I read, play clarinet and piano, and play sports with friends.

After applying to read English Literature and Language at Oxford University, I came across May Moorwood on a tutoring website and have had dozens of sessions with her in aid of my Oxbridge application. May's advice was invaluable, and she has improved not just my writing for the admissions test but my essay technique in general. Furthermore, she gave me interview practice showing me the level of debate I would be expected to engage in, which was not only useful but actually very enjoyable. May is a lovely person who is easy to get along with, really patient and made me feel confident in my application. Overall, I am entirely content with my tutoring experience with her and am very grateful for all of the support she provided me with.
