About Jessica
My name is Jess, and I'm a 20 year old student currently studying English Literature at the University of Warwick. In my undergraduate studies, I specialise in eco-criticism, medieval texts, and Eastern European literature; however, outside of my studies, I have interests in Shakespeare and the Romantics (with specific focus upon Percy Shelley). By and large, what I believe is the key to succeeding in literature studies is secondary and literary criticism: whatever text I am studying, this is essential.
Outside my studies, I spend a lot of time baking, cooking, and spending time socialising with my friends.

I am teaching English literature for GCSE and A level. My approach to teaching is malleable for the level and preference of students, whether they learn best from discussion based lessons or structured, broken down lessons on themes and characters in set texts. I want to help students conceptualise their texts and form a foolproof understanding which serves them well when approaching examinations and essays.
My experience as a tutor has, predominately until this point, been peer-based.
