About Mobina
I hold an M.A. in English Literature and teach literature and translation studies, with a particular interest in literary analysis, narrative, and the ways texts reflect and challenge social structures.
My teaching style is analytical but approachable: I don't want you to memorize complicated theories and forget them the moment the lesson ends. I want you to understand ideas deeply enough to use them yourself.
Our lessons are tailored to your interests and level, with plenty of discussion, close reading, examples, and guided analysis.
Whether you're studying feminism academically, preparing for an assignment, interested in feminist literature, or simply curious about how gender shapes the stories around us, we'll build the lessons around your questions and your goals.
And yes—we are absolutely allowed to disagree. In fact, some of the most interesting lessons begin there.

What if the books you love are saying much more than you thought?
Why are women so often silenced, punished, idealized, sexualized, or reduced to stereotypes in literature?
Why does a female character’s anger feel “hysterical,” while a male character’s anger feels powerful?
Why do we remember the hero but forget the woman standing beside him?
And perhaps most importantly: who taught us to see these things as normal?
In my feminism lessons, we explore questions like these through literature, culture, history, and feminist theory. But this is not a class based on memorizing names and definitions. It is about learning how to see.
We might take a familiar story and turn it upside down. We might revisit a classic novel from a woman’s perspective. We might examine how gender, power, sexuality, language, class, and identity shape the stories we tell—and the stories we believe.
Depending on your interests, we can explore thinkers and writers such as Simone de Beauvoir, Virginia Woolf, bell hooks, Judith Butler, Adrienne Rich, Angela Davis, Mary Wollstonecraft, and many others, alongside novels, poetry, fairy tales, films, and contemporary culture.
