About James
I have graduated from the University of Ottawa's Honours English Program in 2013 and in 2015 I graduated from Toronto's Harris institute for Audio Production and Engineering. I am currently at Lakehead University working towards obtaining my Bachelor of Education.
Before choosing to become a teacher, I worked at a summer camp for many years and realized the importance of providing structure and guidance to young people. I was a camp counsellor, a leadership training director and eventually I took on the role of the camp director as well.
I have always enjoyed teaching and interacting with people of any age and any skill level, and I hope that I can use my skills to help others to achieve their goals

My teaching methods are based on providing students with the structure and encouragement they need to succeed. I am patient, kind and understanding and I am aware that everyone comes at education from a different starting point. I believe that a personalized approach to learning is what is best for students no matter what the age.
I will first learn what the student needs help with and then we can create a plan so that we can work together to achieve the student's individualized goals.
