About Simon
I am currently in my second year of teaching. I teach a range of subjects from GCSE to A-Level, this can include Information Communication Technology: • Fundamental IT skills • Hardware and Software • Usage, Repair & Maintenance Basic skills when using, maintaining or repairing hardware and software. I also teach Information Technology, through KS4 and KS5, this can include: • Hardware and Software (Types of hardware and software, how they are used and how they compare) • Networking (What they are, how they work, hardware and software) • Cyber-security (What it is, how it works and how to protect yourself) Various other subjects are also covered, IoE (Internet of Everything), Global information, Data Analytics, Social Media and Marketing, Project Management, Product Development, Application Design. These are some of the subjects that are covered, in this area of study. I also teach Computer Science, at GCSE, this can include: • Programming Languages (The different programming languages and how to use them) • Programming Software (Integrated Development Environments, the differences and how they are used) • Programming Theory (Software design and development) • Fundamentals to Advanced programming techniques (Syntax and debugging) I have a wealth of knowledge in the computing industry and only went to university later in life and completed my Master's Degree and then my PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education). I am in my second year of teaching and enthusiastic and engaging when I teach, making any activities or learning as fun as possible, where possible.
