About Fadzai
I am a first-year Law student at King's College London with over two years of tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE and A-Level English Literature and Language. Having achieved Grade 9 in both GCSE English Literature and English Language, as well as an A* at A-Level, I have a strong understanding of the analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills required to excel in English.
As I have only recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels, I am highly familiar with the current exam system and understand the challenges students face. Alongside subject knowledge, I am able to share the revision techniques, exam strategies, and practical tips that helped me achieve top grades. I believe this allows me to relate closely to my students and provide advice that is both relevant and effective.
Over the past two years, I have helped students of a wide range of abilities achieve significant improvements in their grades. This includes supporting students in moving from grades 5/6 to grades 8/9, as well as helping students who were initially achieving grades 1/2 progress to grades 5, 6, and 7. At A-Level, I have also worked with students aiming for both grade improvements and top grades.
I am passionate about helping students reach their potential and believe that confidence is just as important as subject knowledge. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, creating a supportive environment where they can develop their skills, improve their understanding, and approach exams with confidence.

My tutoring approach is centred around building both skill and confidence. Through over two years of tutoring experience, I have developed a strong understanding of what works when helping students improve in English Literature and Language. At the same time, I recognise that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit each individual's needs, strengths, and areas for development.
I believe confidence is one of the most important factors in exam success. My goal is to ensure that when students sit their exams independently, they trust their own abilities and feel prepared to tackle any question. I achieve this through clear explanations, guided practice, exam-focused techniques, regular feedback, and encouraging students to think critically and develop their own ideas rather than relying on memorised responses.
Lessons are typically between 1 and 1.5 hours long, although longer sessions can be arranged if requested. Each lesson is tailored to the student and usually includes a combination of content review, exam practice, model answers, and personalised feedback.
I have over two years of tutoring experience and achieved Grade 9 in both GCSE English Literature and English Language, as well as an A* in A-Level English. During my time as a tutor, I have helped students move from grades 5/6 to grades 8/9 at GCSE, while also supporting students who were initially achieving grades 1/2 to reach grades 5, 6, and 7.
