About Anne
I am an experienced and dedicated educator with many years of teaching English and supporting post-primary students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. I teach because I genuinely enjoy helping people develop their skills, discover their strengths and grow in confidence as learners. I bring a professional, patient and encouraging approach to every lesson, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, tackling challenges and making progress towards their individual academic goals.

My approach to personal tutoring is supportive, student-centred and tailored to each learner’s individual needs, strengths and goals. I aim to build confidence alongside developing strong skills in English language and literature, adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and levels of ability. For post-primary students, I focus on strengthening comprehension, critical thinking, written and oral communication, and examination skills, while encouraging students to become increasingly independent and confident learners. I am also experienced in supporting EAL students, adapting my teaching to develop their English language proficiency, academic vocabulary and confidence in communicating across the curriculum.
