About Altesa
I am 20 years in the educational field, teaching all ages reading, writing, speaking, acting, life skills, and socialization skills using a hands-on approach that keeps students engaged and learning. Students walk away from sessions excited about learning and more confident in their ability. I believe every student is capable. As a result, I center their learning style, background, experiences, and goals as a gateway to learning.
I have my MFA in Acting and BA in Social Work. My professional history includes over 20 years working with students from diverse backgrounds and ages. As a teacher, teaching artist, and curriculum developer for community centers, schools, and organizations including my own learning programs, I am excited to get to know you and assist you with meeting your educational goals.

All of my lessons are experience centered, involves the student’s participation.
Essay writing for elementary, middle school students are interactive and follow my practical guide as found in two essay writing workbooks I created.
Public Speaking lessons promote self advocacy and uses theater principles to introduce stage presence and meaningful expression.
Reading comprehension exercises explore context and inferences using hands on lessons and techniques.
Overall, my lessons are student- centered, engaging and purposeful. They encourage interaction and learning through practice.
