Shannon was super attentive and made the environment for a first timer extremely comfortable and welcoming. Her energy is light and bubbly and allows you to put all your worries of not getting the steps right the first time at ease! She’s super knowledgable and capable. She’s very good at breaking down the steps and helping people identify and understand where they made subconscious mistakes. She’s also a very vibrant and fun personality that makes the lesson a comfortable environment while still informative. Dancing with her makes you feel like you’ve been dancing for years.

Shannon is the best dance instructor I have had for all types of ballroom, salsa and swing. I have been taught by at least 10 dance instructors and Shannon is the only one who really takes the time to understand my issues. Unlike many instructors who barely learned to dance a year before becoming an instructor and are simply teaching you from a manual, Shannon lives, eats, and breathes dance. She has been doing it for over a decade. It doesn’t hurt that she has received extensive training by celebrity dancers and Beyoncé’s choreographer. Shannon also knows how to demonstrate each move (both leader and follower) perfectly and can break down the moves into simple instructions. I made more progress with Shannon in two lessons than I did with months of instruction by others. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her.

Shannon is a natural teacher. We tried several other instructors and a dance school before we worked with Shannon and nobody worked harder than Shannon to break down the steps, make learning fun, and keep us progressing. Now we can actually salsa, swing dance, cha cha and rumba at the drop of a hat! We can’t thank her enough for the gift of a joint hobby of social dancing for the last two years and counting.
