About Yxia
25 yrs. as a professional dancer in the music industry. Danced backup for Britney Spears, Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean, Salt N' Pepa, Missy Elliott, P.Diddy, Lil' Kim, Mary J.Blige, 50 Cent, Toni Braxton, Jody Watley, and many more. Fluid in choreography hip hop, street jazz, zumba, dance fitness, etc.
My passion surpasses the dance, the steps and the technicality. I simply love teaching people to fall in love with movement, first and foremost. Movement is imperative for both mental, cardiovascular & physical health. Movement is key to longevity.
I spent 25+ dancing professionally with recording artists touring around the world and performing in music videos, tv shows, awards shows, live stage shows. I've also spent the past 8 years teaching group fitness classes primarily in public & corporate gyms & on Zoom mainly focusing on dance fitness ( Cardio jams, Zumba, Basic samba, Hip Hop, Street jazz)

I like to know a little bit about where they are and what their goals are. I need to know if there are any medical conditions I should know about or physical impediments. Depending on the type of class student is signing up for, I'll do some basic drills with them so I can gauge level and work from there.
