About Daniel
Hi! My name is Daniel, and I tutor students in history, geography, business, English, and music. I graduated cum laude from UC Berkeley in 2020 with a BA in History, receiving honors for my thesis. I am currently COO at Promethium, a local startup dedicated to developing the newest in air purification technology, where I have raised over $1M in R&D capital.
My personal belief has always been that if one could create a comprehensive, universal methodology for education, tutors wouldn't be necessary and everyone would breeze through school. However, every individual is unique, and so tutoring is all about accomodation: identifying the student's optimal learning style, adjusting the presentation of content and educational themes accordingly, and appropriate pacing to ensure full uptake of knowledge. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than developing an independent plan for each student and bringing it to fruition; it is always such a pleasure to see what originally caused frustration become a source of pride and perhaps even interest. Every student I convince to become interested in the humanities is just one more win in my celestial book!
