About Sarah

Teaching brings me so much joy and I hope that I am able to help you find your joy in education!

Working with other people to reach their goals is one of my favorite parts of education!

I got started teaching my first year out of college. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and am very passionate about it. I was initially hired to teach both math and history at the middle school level. In addition to this, I held a tutoring job for a large corporation. Since then, I have stepped out on my own to begin tutoring with a style that I see more fitting for students.

I am a full time social studies teacher with a Master's degree in education and a Massachusett's state teaching license.

About the lesson

When it comes to meeting a new student, I like to meet with both parent/guardian and student for the first part of the first session and then work with the student one on one for the second part. By doing this, I know I have a clear expectation of what the parent is looking for and I also get the opportunity to begin to connect with the student and decipher how they learn best through experience.

I have worked with a large variety of students. Students in sub seperate classrooms, students on IEPS, students learning english as a second language, and AP students just to name a few.

What is most important is that your teacher is knowledgeable, working for you, and that you are comfortable with the teacher that you end up hiring so that you are able to communicate wants and needs with them.
