About Rick

Hello I am a piano teacher who also produces music in my recording studio. I have played piano since I was 5 years old, and became accomplished in classical music and music composing. I am a Latin Grammy nominated producer who writes music for TV and advertising purposes Please visit (concealed information) to see pictures and reviews of my piano and recording studio.

I love seeing people develop a passion for music! It is a a lot of fun to learn piano, and it is great for me to see students develop an appreciation and passion for piano and music!

I started teaching in 1998 when I realised that music and piano was the vocation that I wanted to focus on.

I began studying piano at 5 years old. I also began composing my own music as I grew up writing and recording music and began working with clients. I have composed music for large corporate clients and have received various awards and nominations (including a Latin Grammy nomination), for some of my work.

About the lesson

I like to first asses a student's proficiency, find the student's interest of music genre and goals, then recommend books/ material to begin working on.

I work with students ages 5 and up, and have many teenage, adult, and retired aged students. I work with students on building a foundation to lead to classical, music composition, and proficient reading and interpretation of written music.

Perfect! Been going for just about a month now and have been learning a lot real quick. He has good knowledge about music theory and keeps you motivated to stay playing. Definitely worth a try if looking to start the piano or pick it up again
