About Sujin

Ready to speak Korean with confidence? Let's learn together!

Annyeonghaseyo! I'm Sujin, originally from South Korea, and I've been living in London for about a year now! Want to order food in Korea, understand your favourite K-drama without subtitles, or chat with Korean friends? Whatever your reason for learning Korean, I'd love to help you get there!

My Korean teaching journey began when I was an exchange student in Florida, USA. I joined a Korean language club at university, where I helped my American friends learn Korean. I loved sharing my language and culture with them, and that experience sparked my interest in Korean language education.

I double-majored in English Education and Geography Education at Ewha Womans University in South Korea. I also worked at educational publishing companies, creating both online and offline learning materials. Now, I'm working as a Korean language teacher in London!

I'm also the author of "Let's Go to Korea Together – Gachi Gayo, Hanguk", my own Korean textbook published on Amazon. I hold Level 1 of the Korean History Proficiency Test and am currently working towards obtaining a Korean Language Teacher Certificate in 2027.

My lessons are friendly, interactive, and tailored to your goals and learning pace. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to improve your Korean, we'll focus on practical language skills and take things one step at a time. Don't worry about making mistakes — they're part of learning!

Let's make Korean a language you love using, not just studying!

About the lesson

Learning Korean can feel challenging at first, but it doesn't have to be! I want my lessons to be a place where you can feel comfortable asking questions, trying new expressions, and making mistakes along the way.

I use a variety of learning materials and activities to make my lessons engaging and interactive. Rather than just listening and taking notes, you'll have plenty of opportunities to practise Korean, share your thoughts, and actively take part in the lesson.

Everyone learns differently, so I like to tailor my lessons to your interests, level, and goals. We can practise everyday conversations, work on grammar and vocabulary, or learn useful expressions for your next trip to Korea. If you're a fan of K-pop or K-dramas, we can incorporate those into our lessons, too!

Lessons usually last 60 minutes, and we'll work at a pace that suits you. Whether you're learning your first Korean words or already having conversations in Korean, I'll help you practise and improve step by step.

Most importantly, I want you to enjoy learning Korean and feel confident using it in real life!
