About Eric

Hello, my name is Eric, and I am a passionate pianist and piano teacher with over 25 years of playing experience. I hold the Licentiate in Music, Australia (LMusA), a prestigious performance qualification that reflects a high standard of musical achievement and technical proficiency.

Throughout my musical journey, I have developed a deep appreciation for both classical piano and music education. In addition to my own studies and performance experience, I have several years of teaching experience working with students of varying ages and abilities. I enjoy helping students build confidence, develop strong musical foundations, and achieve their personal goals at the piano.

I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and professional. Every student learns differently, so I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can progress at their own pace while enjoying the learning process. Whether you are learning piano for the first time or looking to further develop your skills, I am committed to helping you succeed and grow as a musician.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Eric, an LMusA-qualified pianist with over 25 years of piano-playing experience and several years of casual teaching experience.

My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and pace. I focus on building strong foundations in technique, music reading, rhythm, and musical expression while keeping lessons enjoyable and engaging. Whether you want to learn for leisure, improve your skills, or work towards examinations, I aim to help students develop confidence and a genuine appreciation for music.

Lessons are available for beginner to intermediate students of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults. A typical lesson runs for 30-60 minutes, depending on the student's age, level, and learning objectives.

I believe that consistent progress comes from a balance of structured learning, practical exercises, and playing music that students enjoy. My teaching approach encourages good practice habits while maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.

I love Eric's teaching style. I used to struggle a lot with my piano technique and musical understanding; however, Eric is so patient and understanding, and always simplifies things for me.
