About Michael Andrew

I am a fully qualified and committed English teacher with fifteen years` experience in helping students prepare for their exams.

I take a positive and supportive approach to learning and it is not unusual for my tutees to make two or more levels progress in one academic year. My A level students exceed their target grade and attain their first choice university place. I have worked across all the major exam boards helping students excel in GCSEs, IGCSEs, A Levels and IB examinations. Furthermore, I have valuable experience as an AQA GCSE and IB Diploma examiner.

My specialism is English literature where I can draw upon a wide range of resources and expertise. I also have a strong record working with students that need a secure pass in their English language qualification.

I am very happy to answer any questions you may have and look forward to hearing from you.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I take a positive and supportive approach to learning and it is not unusual for my tutees to make two or more levels progress in one academic year. To achieve this success, I equip students with tried and tested techniques for each question and ensure that these skills are successfully developed in time for the exam.

I also recognise the importance of self-belief and independence and this helps my students to achieve other goals: such as improving their confidence in class or rediscovering their enthusiasm for English.
