About Sophie

Fully qualified teacher. Head of social sciences. I hold a master's degree in Politics and have been teaching sociology for almost a decade. I started examining 6 years ago in addition to continuing to teach. I am in my early 30s and have a keen interest in education and crime papers but also have experience in beliefs, global development, social stratification, media and culture and identity.

About the lesson

A focus on expansion and A02 allowing students to maximise marks with application to real world examples and the modern day. I have taught multiple classes in a state secondary where no child has achieved less than a B.
Examination structures to suit all pupils, I focus on PEACE where students explicitly challenge and work on avoiding juxtaposition.
My tutoring focuses on 3 core elements. Assess, enhance, develop. I set homework prior to sessions that allow my pupils to spend their time with me developing higher skills and ensuring the best possible chance to achieve for all.
