About Kathleen
I am sudying Early Childhood/Elementary Education with minors in Mathematics and Linguistics at Utah State University. I have been tutoring privately for 4 years. I've tutored students ages 5+ in math, language arts, and music (specifically piano). I am also a piano teacher.

I base my teaching around the student. There are a multitude of different ways to teach math, it's just a matter of finding a way that clicks in the mind of the student. I generally start with the big picture, then break it down into small, easy-to-understand sections. I am used to Saxon math so that curriculum is the most familiar to me. I usually draw heavily from that experience while tutoring.
I hold 30 min tutoring sessions. I'm willing to do multiple sessions a week

Details
I charge $15/hr for tutoring, but I am willing to negotiate on price. I don't charge cancellation fees, life happens. If a student doesn't show up without telling me beforehand, then I still charge for the session.
