About Clare
I work as a professional ballet dancer, actor, performer, collaborator and teacher. My passion for ballet and dance was evident from a young age and I began my training at Kay Flynn Dancing Academy and with Prudence Bowen on the Gold Coast, then moved to The Australian Ballet School in Melbourne to train at 15 years of age. During that time I attained my Certificate III in Dance and also had the opportunity to perform at Melbourne State Theatre’s Morning Melodies GRANDE TARANTELLA (2007), as well as COPPELIA (2007), and THE NUTCRACKER (2008). In 2009, I toured with Excelisa Dance to New York to perform the world premiere of UNSPEAKABLE, and received my A.R.A.D from the Royal Academy of Dance. In 2010 I joined Ballet Magnificat USA, touring Mississippi, and performing A CHRISTMAS DREAM (2010), SELAH (2011), GRATEFUL PEOPLE (2011), VECTOR TO THE VICTOR (2011-2012) and the world premiere of SNOW QUEEN (2011). After two years of performing, I returned to Australia to study my Bachelor of Creative Industries, Majoring in Drama at QUT, Brisbane. While studying I had many adventures, such as making my musical theatre debut as Victoria in Harvest Rain Theatre Company’s production of CATS (2014) directed by Callum Mansfield. I was also was a part of the creative team at Woodford Folk Festival and worked with Queensland Health for Positive Mindset Creative Arts Festival before graduating in 2016. Most recently, I spent 13 months in Japan as a dancer and show captain at Universal Studios Japan.
I have taught for 10 years, in classical ballet (R.A.D & Vaganova) repertoire, pointe and pre-pointe programs and contemporary at schools on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. I have a passion to use the arts as a means of therapy and giving the gift of dance to as many people as I can.

I love working with young dancers who have a drive to work hard and be the best dancer they can be. I also love helping young dancers who have been discouraged or injured and being a part of the rehabilitation process to get them achieving personal goals.
I am a believer that ballet can teach us so much in life and I want to pass on my knowledge and expertise in training the next generation to be strong, resilient and kind dancers.
My teaching methodology is very much geared to the individual. Whether that be solos, technique, or strength building.
