About Chloe
I am a Politics and International Relations student with a strong passion for sharing my knowledge and key skills to ensure younger politics students can succeed while enjoying the subject. I believe politics can be taught in a very dry way which does not efficiently engage students. I have experience learning subjects I did not like, and to be honest, learning is a lot harder when the subject is not taught passionately. I believe that students succeed when they are taught with passion, humour, interactiveness, and a strong dialogue. I do not believe in the method of talking at students, I want my students to be part of the conversation.

My lessons are organised on a case-by-case basis. Everyone learns in a different way. However, the general structure of a lesson I teach is as follows: - To start, 5 minutes spent on setting out the aims for the session. - A mind map exploring the concept from the previous knowledge of the student; for example, 'Write down all the words or facts you know about the Westminster system'. - Next, an exploration of how these facts can be applied to an essay. - The predominant focus of the lessons prior to A Level exams will be essay technique. How to apply the facts to a successful structure which ensures examiners can give the student marks for knowledge and application of knowledge to coherent examples. Typical length of lesson: 1 hour, however anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours is great. The lessons are typically aimed at A Level students but my knowledge can range up to degree level politics. My experience: - I have tutored exchange students from all over the world degree-level Politics and International Relations. - While doing my degree, I tutored A Level politics to 3 other students, all of whom achieved A's.
