About Susan
For the past 25 years I have taught in a grammar school environment where I have become masterful at stretching and challenging students to work beyond their predicted grades. I have also spent most of this time as a private tutor and since the pandemic hit I have switched to online lessons which have been a great success. I am also a senior examiner for one of the top exam boards and am familiar with each of the others, having covered them for many years.

I start by assessing the student's current working level and then design an individual approach on how to help them progress rapidly through the grade boundaries. I provide all materials and resources (except physical copies of texts) and am available throughout the week, between lessons, for further help and advice where needed.

Sue has been the most wonderful tutor for A-level English literature. She has so much knowledge and love for English, which make learning 10x more fun. Sue has helped me so much in gaining confidence in English and the textual knowledge.
My son did not believe he would pass his English GCSE. Susan's tutoring helped immensely, I saw him grow in confidence in the subject and achieve a Grade 7.
