I specialize in helping middle and high school students feel confident and supported in their learning. My approach is student-centered and flexible. My approach to tutoring is centered around patience, encouragement, and making students feel comfortable and confident in what they’re learning. I know that every student is different, so I take time to get to know how they learn best and adjust my teaching style to meet their needs. I want each student to feel supported and heard, and I always try to create a relaxed environment where asking questions is welcomed.
I like to keep lessons structured but flexible. We usually start with a quick warm-up to review what we learned last time, then ease into the new topic with clear explanations and examples. I include activities that are guided but student-focused, so they can take ownership of their learning in a way that feels natural and not overwhelming. At the end of each session, I check for understanding and make sure the student feels good about where we left off.
What makes me different as a tutor is my communication style and patience. I really care about connecting with students and learning how they think. I believe the best way to help someone grow is by meeting them where they are and building from there. I’m not just here to go over the material—I’m here to help students feel capable, motivated, and even enjoy the process of learning.
I work mainly with secondary students who need support in history and social studies. Whether they’re studying for a test, writing a paper, or just want to understand the subject better, I focus on making the content relatable and easier to digest. I’m passionate about helping students see how history connects to the real world and their own lives.
With my educational background and years of experience working with people in all kinds of roles, I’ve learned how important it is to listen, be flexible, and stay encouraging.
