About Jiya

Each session begins with a short recap to reinforce prior learning and identify any gaps. This is followed by a focused explanation of new material, broken down into manageable sections. The core of the lesson involves interactive discussion, worked examples, and guided practice to deepen understanding. The session ends with a brief summary, highlighting key takeaways and setting targets for independent work or revision. Teaching methods are student-centred, prioritising clarity, engagement, and confidence-building. Lessons are adapted to individual learning styles and goals, whether preparing for exams, improving writing skills, or tackling difficult topics. Scaffolding techniques, retrieval practice, and Socratic questioning are regularly used to develop independent thinking and long-term retention. Sessions are suitable for secondary school students (KS3, GCSE, and A-Level), especially those studying essay-based subjects such as History, Politics, or English.
