About Matt Kingston
A passionate teacher who has developed his craft over six years. I started my education career as a Teaching Assistant, giving me a valuable insight into working with students one on one and with learning difficulties. Since then I have been a head of year and head of faculty which has helped me to ensure success for the greatest number of pupils both in their studies and personal life. My goal is to always have fun while making the most of our time. I have taught internationally for 2 years which has broadened my historical and cultural knowledge which has allowed me to make the most of teaching capabilities.

Besides the lessons we can take from the past, history as a subject helps to build skilled communicators and negotiators. Through individualised sessions I will help tutees to communicate what they have learnt in the most effective manner that will help them in their exams but also later in life. Sessions would last 30-60 mins with some pre-reading/research tasks to ensure that we get the most out of our sessions. Tasks will include; debate, teacher modelling, live marking and feedback alongside more engaging knowledge-based games and tasks. Sessions can be one on one or for a small number of pupils if desired.

Perfect! Matt has helped and guided me through my History NEA for A-Level and I wouldn't have done it without him. He went above and beyond to help prepare ahead of every lesson and was very knowledgeable. Can't recommend him highly enough.
