Music has shaped who I am, and sharing it with others brings me so much joy. I love seeing students grow in confidence, find their voice, and express themselves. My teaching style is student-centered, flexible, and responsive to individual learning needs. I focus on building a strong foundation in music theory and performance while encouraging creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking. I use a combination of traditional and modern techniques—blending ear training, score reading, improvisation, and digital tools to keep lessons engaging and relevant. Whether working in a classroom or one-on-one, I prioritize creating a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. Lesson Structure & Duration: Typical lessons run for 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the student’s level and focus area. Lessons are structured around clear goals—starting with warm-ups and theory, followed by practical application (instrumental or vocal work), and ending with reflection or feedback. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor of Music – Conservatorium of Music, Sydney Master of Teaching – University of Adelaide 12+ years of music teaching experience Experienced in curriculum development, ensemble leadership, performance coaching, and integrating music across subjects Current classroom teacher in secondary schools Who Are My Lessons For?
