About Finn
I am a philosophy student at the University of Southampton (a top 100 university in the world). I am here to expand my tutoring business and help as many people as I can to achieve their goals. Going forward I am looking to do a Master's in philosophy and go into teaching.

Depending on what your desired goal is I will build sessions that will benefit you most. If writing essays (exam technique) is something that you wish to improve upon then we will work together looking at what makes a good essay and what makes a bad essay, after this we will move on to the most important task which is having you write the essay and I will mark it with comments of what was both good and could be improved upon. If content is the thing that you wish to improve upon then my lessons will be divided into two halves: lectures and debates. The reason for having debates (rather than just lectures) is so that you may assume the position of a proponent of or a challenger to the content being discussed. This has shown to be one of the most effective ways of information retention and so it is why having debates is a core component of my lessons.
