• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I am a Bharatanatyam dancer and when I was 9 years old, I joined my Bharatanatyam dance class. I was very passionate about dance and wanted to learn it but back then, I knew nothing about Bharatanatyam. But when I joined the class, I found it very interesting and I researched more about it, from that point I decided to be a perfect Bharatanatyam dancer.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My Mom is a great motivation for me. She had always believed in spreading our talents or knowledge to others and this motivated me to start teaching others Bharatanatyam and spread my talent and knowledge to others.

• How does your work help society?

  My work helps the society as I used to choreograph and teach the dance to all of my society kids and teenagers whenever there is any festival or program in our society.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  One person who happens to be my role model is Rukmani DEVI Arundale as I want to be like her.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  My hobby is to learn different hobbies.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  In one of my performances, I fell down on the stage in front of everyone. All my partners were laughing at me after the performance but that taught me people will never stop saying against you or teasing you, you have to decide whether you want to stop or achieve something that your achievement one day kill their laughter.
