About Deveshi

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for English, literature, and creative writing. I scored 93% in my Class 10 Board Examinations and have consistently been involved in activities that have strengthened my communication and leadership skills.
I am the author of my debut novel Blessed Dream, which was published in the USA, and I have also received Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition over three consecutive years. These experiences have helped me develop a strong command of writing, grammar, and creative expression.
In school, I served as President of the Creative Writing Club and Editor-in-Chief of the literary magazine for two years. Through these roles, I mentored fellow students, organized projects, and learned how to guide others with patience and clarity.
I also value meaningful teaching experiences. I provided English lessons to Afghan refugee girls, helping them build confidence in communication and learning. This taught me the importance of empathy, encouragement, and adapting lessons to each student’s needs.
As a tutor, I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, improving their skills, and expressing themselves confidently. My goal is to make English enjoyable while helping every student reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I like to keep my classes relaxed, interactive, and actually enjoyable—because I don’t think English should ever feel intimidating or boring. My focus is on helping students understand concepts clearly and feel confident expressing their own ideas, whether that’s in writing or speaking.
I usually teach through a mix of discussion, examples, and practice. Instead of just explaining things, I like to ask questions, break ideas down together, and help students think for themselves. For literature, we go beyond just “right answers” and really explore meanings and interpretations. For language, I focus on improving grammar, vocabulary, and overall fluency in a practical way.
A typical class starts with a quick warm-up or recap, then we move into the main topic, followed by some kind of activity—like writing, analysis, or conversation—and end with feedback and tips to improve.
What makes my classes a little different is that I really encourage individuality. I want students to develop their own voice and style, not just follow a format.
My classes are best suited for school and high school students, especially those who want to improve their writing, understand literature better, or just become more confident in English overall.
