Book guitar lessons with expert teachers

Starting guitarists need to master a few key fundamentals before moving to harder skills.

• Guitar anatomy: Know the nut and other essential parts to describe problems.
• Note names: Memorise the six open string notes to read tablature.
• Finger placement: Use the pads of your fingers to press strings close to the metal bar.
• Right-hand rhythm: Develop a steady down-up motion by using wrist rotation rather than elbow movement.

Master these fundamentals first to avoid frustrating mistakes that slow progress later.
