Book guitar lessons with expert teachers

Starting guitarists need to master several foundational concepts before moving to harder skills.

• Guitar anatomy: Learn the names of each major part like the neck and fretboard.
• String identification: Memorise standard tuning names to read tablature.
• Left-hand form: Keep your thumb centered for support while fingers curve naturally.
• Strumming basics: Develop a steady down-up motion by using wrist rotation rather than shoulder motion.

These basic skills prepare beginners for learning chords within a short timeframe.

• Seamless switching between foundational voicings like G-C-D or E-A-B
• Even tempo control using rhythmic exercises
• Understanding scale patterns in one position first
• Recognising intervals to understand melodies
