Book guitar lessons with expert teachers

The first lessons for a beginner cover guitar anatomy and basic playing techniques.

• Guitar components: Identify the body along with the neck to understand the guitar's structure.
• String identification: The six strings are tuned to E-A-D-G-B-E from thickest to thinnest.
• Left-hand form: Keep thumb placement behind the fretboard while fingers stay perpendicular.
• Right-hand rhythm: Develop a steady down-up motion by moving from the wrist rather than the whole arm.

These basic skills prepare beginners for learning chords within early lessons.

Guitar lessons in Ferntree Gully typically cost around $62/h for a one-hour session.

The cost varies based on various considerations:

• Your skill level (beginner, or primary level)
• The instructor's experience (formal qualifications)
• Lesson duration and frequency (30-minute sessions, intensive courses)
• Where lessons occur (at your home)

Choosing remote learning can make lessons more accessible while maintaining excellent teaching.

Also called Pareto's Law, this concept shows that targeted effort yields disproportionate results.

Instead of jumping between topics, focus sessions to the techniques that deliver results.

Core 20% activities:

• Smooth chord transitions between common chords like G-C-D or E-A-B
• Even tempo control using rhythmic exercises
• Understanding scale patterns in a single shape
