About Shaniaya
educator who believes learning government should feel empowering, not intimidating. I teach students how politics shapes everyday life — from what’s on your ballot to what’s on your plate. I hold a B.A. in History with a minor in African American Studies from Texas Southern University and a Master’s in Legal Studies from Texas A&M University, along with certificates in Energy, Environmental, and Public Policy. With 5 years of experience teaching AP Government and Political Science, I’ve helped students boost their scores, deepen their understanding, and find their voice in civic conversations. My approach is clear, conversational, and rooted in real-world examples — because when students see how policy connects to their lives, learning sticks. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, exploring philosophy, or diving into policy debates, I’ll guide you with patience, humor, and strategies that build confidence. Let’s turn your interest in politics into impact.

My lessons make politics personal. Every session connects what you’re learning to what’s actually happening in the world — from elections and laws to energy and social justice. I specialize in helping students see the bigger picture while mastering the details teachers and exams expect.
You’ll learn how to think like a policymaker, write like a scholar, and debate like a leader. Whether you need help with AP Government, Political Science essays, Public Policy analysis, or Civic Education projects, I’ll design lessons that match your pace, goals, and learning style.
Expect energy, clarity, and real-world relevance — not lectures. My goal is to help you understand, apply, and enjoy political science while building confidence that lasts beyond the classroom.
