Teaching Organic Chemistry require imagination of the three dimensional architecture ofeach molecule. Depending on the hybridization, presence of lone pair of electrons, substituents, electron relay and effects like inductive, mesomeric, hyperconjugation, etc, the reactivity of the molecules differs.
Ideally the game here is to visualize the electrophilic or nucleophilic sites of attack and then formulate the concepts in retrospect. One can build anything to everything meaningful.
