About Sean
I’m an experienced business professional, educator and doctoral researcher with more than 20 years of experience across publishing, technology, professional services, sales, marketing and management.
I hold an MBA in Marketing and am currently completing a PhD in Work & Employment Studies at the University of Limerick. My doctoral research focuses on how people learn, adapt and make sense of their experiences within organizations.
Alongside my professional career, I have taught adult learners, delivered training and presentations, assessed assignments and provided developmental feedback. My professional experience means I can help students connect business theories and models with examples of how organizations actually operate.
I can support students studying Business Studies, Management, Marketing and Organizational Behavior at undergraduate, further-education or professional level. I am particularly interested in areas such as management and leadership, organizational behavior, marketing, organizational change, workplace learning, strategy and the application of business theory to real organizational problems.
My teaching style is conversational, practical and academically grounded. I aim to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorize material for an assignment or examination.

Business and management subjects can become difficult when students are presented with large numbers of theories, models and frameworks without a clear understanding of how they relate to real organisations.
In one-to-one sessions, I can help you understand business and management concepts, work through difficult topics, prepare for assignments or examinations, analyse case studies and learn how to apply theory to practical business situations.
Areas we can cover include management and leadership, organisational behaviour, marketing, strategy, organisational change, workplace learning, communication and other general Business Studies topics.
Sessions are tailored to your course and current level. You can bring a particular topic, lecture, assignment brief or case study that you are struggling with, and we can work through the underlying concepts together.
Where useful, I draw on examples from more than 20 years working across technology, publishing, professional services, sales and marketing, alongside my MBA and doctoral research into organisational life.
My objective is to help you develop your own understanding and ability to apply business concepts independently, rather than completing assessed work for you.
