About Gaura

I am a first year medical student at Barts and the London Medical School. I achieved A*AA at A Levels, with the A* in Chemistry.

I have had experience of tutoring students since last year October 2020, and it involved preparing a student for private school admission exams. I am glad to say with all our hard work and progress, she has had offers from all of them! However, I most look forward to teaching students in some of my favourite subjects, especially Chemistry!

About the lesson

My classes are preferably online to reach and help the most number of students possible, and they are one-to-one. I like to give my lessons in segments with 2 min breaks in between to maximise concentration.

We will approach each scientific topic in Chemistry as being interconnected to other topics like a web, rather than isolated subdiscilines, i.e. the study of medical drug structure in organic chemistry and how that may effect the biochemistry of the human body. This is so that my students can make these links on their own and achieve their full potential, once we have improved their scientific applications and critical thinking skills in our lessons.

Thus, we shape my lessons to improve understanding and appreciation of the scientific disciplines, by putting a heavy emphasis on practice and exposure to a wide range of questions.
