About Jessica
Hi, I’m Jess — a personal trainer and yoga instructor with over 15 years of experience helping people move better, feel stronger, and build confidence in their bodies.
My teaching style focuses on developing a strong mind-body connection through clear instruction, proper movement mechanics, and personalized guidance. I specialize in flexibility, mobility, and foundational yoga, helping students safely improve their range of motion while building strength and body awareness.
Many of my students come to me feeling stiff, intimidated by yoga, or unsure where to start. I break movements down into simple, easy-to-understand steps so anyone — regardless of experience — can progress confidently.
My lessons are great for beginners, athletes, runners, and anyone looking to improve flexibility, posture, and overall movement quality.
If you’re ready to move better and feel stronger in your body, I’d love to work with you.

My Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach to yoga and flexibility training is rooted in intentional movement, nervous system awareness, and long-term joint health. I believe flexibility is not about forcing the body into deeper stretches — it’s about teaching the body to feel safe enough to release tension and expand its range of motion naturally.
I combine elements of strength training, breathwork, mobility drills, and yoga to help students build both strength and flexibility simultaneously. This creates lasting progress while reducing the risk of injury.
In my sessions, I emphasize:
• proper alignment and biomechanics
• breath control to regulate the nervous system
• strengthening muscles that support mobility
• gradual progression rather than aggressive stretching
My goal is to help students develop a deeper connection to their bodies, so they understand why a movement works, not just how to do it.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is personalized based on the student’s goals, but most sessions follow a simple structure:
1. Check-in & body assessment (5 minutes)
We discuss how the body is feeling and identify areas of tension or restriction.
2. Joint preparation & mobility work (10–15 minutes)
Gentle activation drills to prepare the hips, hamstrings, spine, and shoulders.
3. Strength + flexibility training (20–30 minutes)
A mix of controlled stretching, isometric holds, and strengthening exercises that safely increase range of motion.
4. Deep stretch & breathwork (10 minutes)
Longer holds with guided breathing to allow the nervous system to relax and release deeper tension.
5. Integration & take-home practice (5 minutes)
Students leave with simple exercises they can practice between sessions.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What makes my coaching different is that I teach flexibility as a skill that can be trained, not something you’re simply born with.
I spent years developing my own flexibility through consistent daily practice, so I deeply understand the frustrations students experience when their bodies feel tight or resistant. Because of this, I’m able to break movements down into clear, intuitive cues that make complex mobility work easy to understand.
Students often tell me they appreciate that I focus on:
• clear coaching cues that actually make sense
• building strength alongside flexibility
• sustainable progress without injury
• a supportive and encouraging environment
My goal is not just to improve someone’s flexibility — it’s to help them move better and feel more confident in their body.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for a wide range of students, including:
• Beginners who feel tight and don’t know where to start
• Athletes looking to improve mobility and performance
• Runners and lifters who want to prevent injury
• Yoga students who want to deepen their practice
• Adults who spend long hours sitting and feel stiff in their hips and back
Sessions are beginner-friendly but can also be tailored for intermediate and advanced students working toward goals like splits, deeper backbends, or improved mobility for sport.
All lessons are adapted to the individual’s body, goals, and experience level.
