About the lesson

As a Multimedia Artist and student myself, my approach to teaching history, especially the life and works of José Rizal, is all about stepping away from rote memorization and stepping into the narrative. History isn't just a list of dates. It is a vivid story of people, art, politics, and rebellion. Whether you struggle to connect with traditional textbooks or simply want to understand our national history through a more engaging lens, my lessons are designed to make the past feel alive, relevant, and visually captivating.

A typical lesson begins with an open discussion exploring the historical context of an era, breaking down complex political ideas and personal motivations into relatable human stories. From there, we dive into interactive analysis using creative frameworks, visual aids, and thematic breakdowns—examining how Rizal's novels, essays, and art shaped a revolution.
