Exceptional conversation with Khadija; I feel that she has an extensive understanding of English (and the Latin similarities with French), an excellent vocabulary, and simply requires practice in order to boost confidence.
I would recommend, in response to a comment regarding writing, that Khadija should start off by writing (by hand if possible) a few short, simple sentences, then review them to check for spelling mistakes.
Examples;
"I walked out to the beach this afternoon, but it was cold because the wind was blowing."
"Tonight I want to prepare a special soup with carrots, celery, potatoes and lentils."

Computers/mobile phones are not great for this as they instantly correct or highlight errors. I suggest good old fashioned dictionary work, as our brains work very well when they have a challenge!
