About Milo
I am a previous A Level student who achieved A*A*A*A - with an A* in English Literature. I enjoy teaching not only for the satisfaction of watching a student improve and become confident, but also for the personal benefits as it helps me understand content more and improve my own studying techniques. I have tutored fellow classmates throughout A-Levels and my first year of University.

About the lesson

My lessons will be split in two sections. The first will focus on improving understanding and memorisation of the content. We will achieve this through scientifically proven methods of active recall, spaced repetition, and the Einstein “teach others” methods. The second section will focus on taking that knowledge and applying it to exam questions. We will build an understanding of the mark scheme and structures the examiners are looking for to help maximise the student’s exam performance.

When I was preparing for my GCSEs I was terrified I would fail. As English was my second language I struggled to comprehend how I’d ever get the 9s I wanted, much less pass. That’s when I found Milo. Essay plans, detailed breakdowns of concepts and chunks of text, and an undying belief i could always succeed. I got my 9s and when I went on to study History and English at A-levels I got my A*s because of Milo’s hard work too. If I could go back, I would choose Milo again and again. Milo changed my life and made me understand that with perseverance anything is possible!
