About Calypso
As an Oxford graduate who read Greats (Greek and Latin) at university, Calypso specialises in tutoring Latin, Greek and English Literature for 11+, 13+, Common Entrance and GCSE examinations. After completing her GCSEs, Calypso was awarded a Music and Academic Scholarship for entry into the Sixth Form at Charterhouse School, one of the UK's leading independent boarding and day schools. As a lover of music, Calypso plays the piano, double bass, violin and guitar, and writes and performs her own songs.

During her time at school, Calypso had extra tuition which she found incredibly helpful and encouraging. The two elements she aims to bring to a pupil are: clarity and encouragement - often it is a pupil's lack of confidence or the murkiness of school jargon which is really holding them back from achieving top marks. Simply put, things made logical and manageable allow learning to become fun.
